“I want to write, but more than that, I want to bring out all kinds of things that lie buried deep in my heart.”
— Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl

A place for spiritual seekers and journalers to transform into memoir writers

Hello and welcome to all the spiritual seekers and journalers with stacks of half-filled notebooks. Here you’ll find resources designed to support you in the work of putting your life experiences into words.

You may feel that you’ve lived the unpredictable parts and now writing about it should be easy. But deep inner experiences often defy being put into words. And for journalers, which I count myself as, transforming the private world of a journal into a piece of writing that you’re ready to share with family or even the world is a big transition. Finally, lack of time, a telling of your story that is flat on the page, or simple fear of the blank page can get the best of any writer. That’s where the support of a book coach can make a big difference, helping you turn your project from a frustrating pile of scraps into a compelling manuscript.

As a book coach, I can guide you to identify and understand the impact of a book’s many variables such as ideal audience, the narrator’s place in time, and your work’s best structure. I can also teach you narrative techniques to write about experiences that defy description, help you nail your outline, hold you accountable with deadlines, provide expert coaching (not critique) on your writing, and speed up your timeline by helping you understand your message on a deep level from the beginning instead of writing your way to it.

Most of all, I will walk with you as you prepare to bring your story into the light, providing mindset support and a soft place to land if the work feels overwhelming. You don’t have to do this alone. Whether you are at the beginning and want to develop an idea or at the end and want help finding an agent for a finished manuscript, I would be honored to work with you. Let’s talk.

Plan your dream book

Step into the heart of storytelling with Author Accelerator’s flagship memoir-planning tool Blueprint for a Memoir. You can choose to do the full blueprint or the mini-blueprint. While there are many ways to write a book, the method of inquiry offered by Author Accelerator’s blueprint has produced the best results for my clients and for me.

Mini-Blueprint | $500

Ideal for new book ideas, this service includes an in-depth analysis of your 1-page mini-blueprint, a method of inquiry that helps you articulate your memoir’s core elements. An editorial letter with recommended next steps and a 1-hour coaching call to talk about it all are also included.

Mini-Blueprint + 50 First Pages | $700

This service is designed for the writer with a finished or almost finished manuscript who would like a professional editor to evaluate what’s working and what still needs work in their memoir’s narrative structure and writing. Includes an in-depth analysis of both the mini-blueprint and their manuscript’s 50 first pages, an editorial letter with recommended next steps, and a 1-hour coaching call to talk about it all.

Blueprint | $1,700 or $425/month
for 4 months

We break down the Blueprint for a Memoir into 4 sections and complete it over the course of 4 months. You may choose to have weekly or monthly deadlines. Whichever you choose, you will receive an analysis of each step and 1 coaching call each month. At the end, you’ll have a map of your entire book, a deeper understanding of how story works, and the confidence to write the book of your dreams.

Write a happy ending

Settle into the writer’s life with ongoing 1-on-1 coaching tailored to your unique manuscript and writing goals. Together we will refine your book’s message, structure, pacing, and style. This support accelerates your progress, turning your book from a rough draft into a polished, publishable work while building your confidence as a writer.

1-on-1 Coaching | $800/month

My story

I combine a Buddhist-inspired writing practice with Author Accelerator’s wise insights into story structure and the book market to provide a path for people to tell their stories in the most compelling way.

I had the privilege to work as an editor at the world service office of the 12-step program Overeaters Anonymous and have worked with both professional and nonprofessional writers for more than 20 years as a journalist, copy editor, nonprofit magazine editor, and high school journalism teacher.

I also work my own program of abstinence and recovery from substances in the Recovery Dharma fellowship.

I am a newly converted fountain pen geek and longtime journal junkie. I also love bicycles! I was selected as a member of the 2026 All Bodies on Bikes Gravel Team and can be found riding around the Pacific Northwest rain or shine.

My favorite cycling magazine, The Radavist, published my story about riding in my first gravel race. You can read it HERE.
